Culebra Cigars

Culebra cigars stand out for their striking appearance, as the shape is traditionally comprised of 3 slender Panetela cigars twisted into a single braid roughly 5 to 6 inches in length. Culebra is Spanish for snake and there are a handful stories behind the origins of the rare and unique format, many of which reference the cigar allotment cigars rollers received, or were allowed to smoke, during their shifts at a cigar factory. The three individual cigars that form a Culebra cigar are shaped and braided while the tobacco is still in a moist, pliable state and are often tied together with a ribbon or a bow. Culebra cigars are meant to be unbound and either shared among friends or smoked one at a time.
