For the binder, Nicholas III chose a special Nicaraguan Shade Grown tobacco, harvested from a Cuban-and-Cameroon-seed hybrid crop. To complete the recipe, he selected vintage Nicaraguan long-fillers and a dark and oily Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper, aged for ten years before it spends a final fourteen months maturing in a bourbon barrel.
